September 1, 2010, Bakersfield, Cal.]----49 year old Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac, of Bakersfield, California, died, when she got stuck in the chimney of her boyfriend's house, last Wednesday.

According to the Associated Press, police found, Kotarac's decomposing body 3 days later, in the chimney of her "on again off again boyfriend's home." They were called by a house-sitter, who noticed a foul odor and fluids dripping above the fireplace. Apparently she had tried to enter the home sneakily, and without consent.

The doctor, reportedly first tried to break her way into the home with a shovel and when that didn't work, resorted to forcing her way in by climbing up on the roof to enter through the chimney.

This desperate and irrational behavior tragically cost Kotrac her life. The boyfriend,William Moodie, 58, has told investigators that he had escaped through a side entrance, when the doctor came over acting irrational.

Moody was quoted as saying,""She had her issues... she had her demons...- but I never lost my respect for her." He said she had been an excellent doctor and often provided services for free to those who couldn't afford it.

The report said so far, no foul play was suspected in Dr. Kotarac's death but that investigators were looking at the incident as suspicious.

The doctors staff were the ones who reported her missing when she did not show up for work in two days. Her car was found near her boyfriend's home. Reports also say that the boyfriend had returned to the house and slept there before leavinf for Europe on Thursday.

Neighbors reported hearing a faint cry for help but said they thought is was coming from kids playing in a nearby pool. Why didn't the boyfriend hear those cries if he slept in the house that night?
