True Blood fans will have their thirst for the vampires of Bon Temps, Louisiana, quenched on June 10, 2012, when Season 5 premiers on HBO.

Tara Thornton, who was shot at the end of season 4 appeared to be dead in Sookie's arms. However, Rutina Wesley who plays the emotionally frustrated best friend of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) has signed on for Season 5. Based on the pool of blood surrounding her after being shot, it certainly looks like there is almost no chance she could survive, and will likely return as Tara Thornton, the vampire.

Other tid-bits that can be confirmed by some of the video teases for True Blood Season 5, include trouble for Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) from his Fellowship of the Sun rival Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) who was turned into a vampire at the end of Season 4.

Perhaps among the most anticipated character returns for True Blood Season 5 is that of Russell Edgington, masterfully portrayed by Denis O'Hare.

Edgington sees himself as the one true vampire capable of over-throwing "The Authority," and making himself the supreme ruler of both the human and vampire worlds.
