There are so many different and conflicting versions of the Trayvon Martin tragedy that no one can say definitively they know all the facts. Emerging now is another story on the fatal shooting of the 17-year-old Martin by 28-year-old George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida.

Reports on CNN Live television on Wednesday claimed that the Sanford police wanted to arrest Zimmerman on manslaughter or negligent homicide charges the night of the shooting, but the State District Attorney said no, they didn't have enough evidence to convict at trial. The D.A.'s office allegedly said that the Stand Your Ground law specifically stipulates that if a person claimed self-defense in a killing, police could not arrest them.

This D.A., Norm Wolfinger, has since recused himself from the case but no reason was given publicly for this removal. Prosecutor Angela B. Corey is now in charge, appointed by Governor Rick Scott.

The public outcry has not abated and Trayvon's parents, Sybrina and Tracey Martin, were on Capitol Hill in Washington on Tuesday, speaking before a committee on racial profiling in America.

They are also trying to copyright their son's name for many are now profiting from his death--with an avalanche of T-shirts and other paraphernalia being sold without their consent.

Communities in Sanford and across the nation continue to fight for what they call justice, yet no arrest has been made in the case. New York State Assemblymen/women wore hoodies during Friday's sesssion in solidarity with the slain teen. A Grand Jury is reportedly scheduled for April 10 and Prosecutor Corey told CNN on Wednesday that the case had to start again from scratch, which takes time.

Zimmerman was never taken in for questioning or testing for drugs or alcohol. We don't know if there was even a taped or video evidence gathering. Florida's Stand Your Ground law is being used as the resaon for the surprisng lack of arrest.

The shooter has not spoken publicly but an alleged friend, Joe Oliver is making the media rounds, seen on a flurry of television shows, even shedding a tear or two for what he thinks was a justiable killing. He says Zimmerman is in therapy for PSTD, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome Disorder, even if he claims not to know where his friend is at the moment.

Many protesting the killing are calling Oliver, who is Black, "a sell-out," saying this whole defense is contrived. He tearlfully told CNN on Tuesday that he understands the public outrage and that he would be too if he wasn't Zimmerman's friend.

17-year-old Trayvon was shot and killed by Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain, on Feb. 26 as he was reportedly returning to his home from a neighborhood 7/11 where he went to but candy and a drink.

Some reports are saying the teen was the aggressor while others say Zimmerman profiled Trayvon and gunned him down while he was unarmed.
