Two new posters from the upcoming film On The Road were released on the official On The Road Facebook page. One of the posters is of Tom Sturridge in character as Carlo Marx with the tagline "We're alive!" The second poster is of Viggo Mortensen in character as Old Bull Lee with the tagline "The best teacher is experience."

The trailer for On The Road premiered earlier in March with mixed reviews. Most of the news stories focused in on Kristen Stewart, playing Marylou, being topless in one of the scenes in the trailer. Stewart will probably play a big role in the media promotion for the film since she has two huge projects coming up this year including Snow White and the Huntsman and the finale to The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Part 2.

The media promotion may focus on Stewart but the movie itself thankfully will not. On The Road is based on Jack Kerouc's novel about the beat generation. It took decades to adapt the book to the big screen.

In 1957 Kerouac wanted Marlon Brando and Kerouac himself to star in the movie. Through the 1970's to 2000's Francis Ford Coppola tried to revive the project ut failed in every attempt.

There is no official release date for On The Road but people are speculating that the film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival later this year.
